About me :

* I live in - Catford

* Age - 31

* What I play - Guitar (rhythm, and sometimes lead), and some bass and keyboard

* Styles of music that I mainly play - Funk, Soul

* Equiptment - Just a small practise amp and an effects pedal. I have no stage amp, so you would need to supply me with one to use, if that's possible, at least until I have my own

* Transport - Oyster card and 2 legs

* Experience - I've just been in 1 band, so I need experience

This is the kind of band that I'd like to join :

* Style of music - Mainly Funk and/or Soul

* Most of you are based in - South East London

* You gig in - London (mainly South East), at least once a week on average

* Ambitions with your band - Nothing much beyond having fun and earning money

     I get pretty nervous before a gig the first couple of times, but I'm ok after a while. I like to play with musicians who are enthusiastic and take it seriously, work well together and communicate, and play to at least a reasonable standard and know what they're doing. 

     All I want is to play and earn some money. The band that I was in didn't play very often (just 3 gigs in the space of about 3 months) and the most I made from it was a fiver. I'm not expecting a fortune, and money isn't the main thing, but I would like something more reasonable than a fiver. That's why I'm only interested in joining a fairly busy band that gigs frequently. 

     On my website you can hear original music that I've recorded, to give you an idea of my style and standard of playing. A few tracks are sequenced so theres no live instruments, but you should get an idea of the type of music that I'd like to play. And if you like what you hear, I'd like you to send me an email (it's on the website), telling me about your band, such as where you're based, what music your band plays, and anything else that I need to know (I'll only respond to emails that contain more than just a show of interest). And do bear in mind that I don't have a stage amp, and that at the moment I'm not interested in big plans (ie record deals, touring; etc)

     I've tried to be clear about what I'm looking for, as I don't want us to waste each other's time. Yet I get emails from people who don't play Funk and/or Soul, or they don't live anywhere near SE London, or they just haven't bothered to read this advert properly and they email me just for the sake of it, and that's why they get no reply.
